Responsibilities

• Build data pipelines by building ETL processes (Extract-Transform-Load).
• Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud resources to ensure efficient utilization and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems within the cloud environment, security groups, and encryption mechanisms.
• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Python/SQL for batch and near real-time processing.
• Develop and maintain complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages for data transformations, validations and reporting.
• Design and implement ETL workflows in Informatica, including mapping, session, and workflow development.
• Data Migration in cloud service
• Develop application programs using Big Data technologies like Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, etc with appropriate cloud-based services like Amazon AWS, etc.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for cloud-based applications and data.
• Responsible for analysing business and functional requirements which involves a review of existing system configurations and operating methodologies as well as understanding evolving business needs
• Analyse requirements/User stories at the business meetings and strategize the impact of requirements on different platforms/applications, convert the business requirements into technical requirements
• Participating in design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules and/or potential problems
• Understand current application infrastructure and suggest Cloud based solutions which reduces operational cost, requires minimal maintenance but provides high availability with improved security
• Coordinate with release management, other supporting teams to deploy changes in production environment

Qualification & Skills Required 

• Bachelors – Business Analytics, Bachelors – Computer Science, Bachelors – Statistics, Masters – Data Science
• Cloud platforms: Knowledge of cloud services like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is necessary for deploying and managing data solutions in the cloud.
• Programming languages: Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala is essential for developing data pipelines and processing frameworks.
• Database management: Experience with SQL databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL or NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra is important for managing structured and unstructured data.
• Big data technologies: Familiarity with big data frameworks such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, and Apache Kafka is crucial for handling large-scale data processing.
• Data warehousing: Experience with data warehousing solutions like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake is beneficial for organizing and querying large datasets.
• Strong understanding of security principles and best practices for cloud-based environments.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling and data lakes.
• Experience in GenAI project (optional)
