Job Description 

• Monitoring and Administration of Backup environments running on various enterprise solutions such as CommVault, NetBackup, Rubrik, Druva, Veeam, cloud native backups etc.
• Troubleshoot backup failures and technical issues in the above environments. Drive them to Resolution.
• Work on Incident management, Change Management and Problem management as per ITIL Standards and agreed SLAs
• Generate and analyze the various Backup Reports.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on key accomplishments and any challenges or issues.
• Escalate to Senior Members and/or Vendors on deep technical issues and work with them through the resolution.
• Identify the recurring issues and create the problem incidents to find the root cause of the event.
• Perform Backup Assessments and Audits. Report on the findings, propose plans and implement them to bridge gaps.
• Track Backup Systems’ Capacity and Propose Appropriate Measures proactively.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of backup configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Familiarize yourself with automation tools and scripting languages to streamline routine tasks and improve efficiency.
• Work with other cross-functional teams to provide seamless Service Delivery.
• Act as liaison between peer support teams, customers and vendors.
• Handle Technical Escalations from Level 1 teams.
• Perform on-call duties as required.
• Participate in DR exercises.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
• Will be required to work in rotational shifts (24X7 coverage model) and provide on call support as required.

Qualification & Skills Required 

• B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer related courses.
• Good knowledge of various windows / UNIX based Operating systems.
• Knowledge on the Networking concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Demonstrates a professional manner in verbal, written and telephone communications.
• Ability to clearly articulate situations / issues to cross-functional teams and clients
• Knowledge in using Service Management Tool like Service Now, Remedy, Service Center etc.
• 1 to 3 years of experience on remote infrastructure management / server management / backup management would be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge on ITIL processes. ITIL foundation certification would be an added advantage.
• Cloud knowledge (AWS / Azure / GCP) will be an added advantage.
