Job Role & Responsibilities 

Test Planning & Preparation

• Analyze business requirements and acceptance criteria to define the test scope.
• Develop detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases across ServiceNow modules (ITSM, CMDB, Change, Incident, Problem, Catalog/Platform).
• Identify and prepare needed test data for execution.
• Participate in refinement sessions and provide QA input during Agile ceremonies such as Backlog Grooming and PI Planning.

Test Execution

• Execute functional, regression, integration, and system tests across ServiceNow environments (Dev, QA, Pre‑Prod).
• Validate platform behavior including workflows, UI policies, business rules, catalog items, APIs, integrations, and data feeds.

Defect Management

• Log defects with clear steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual results, and supporting evidence.
• Partner with developers, Technical Functional Analysts, and Platform Admins to triage, prioritize, and retest defects.
• Track defects through resolution and ensure quality standards are met before promotions to higher environments.

Documentation & Reporting

• Document test results, QA evidence, and sign‑off notes.
• Provide timely status updates during daily stand‑ups.
• Maintain full traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with TFAs, developers, product owners, and scrum teams to ensure end‑to‑end quality.
• Recommend improvements to test processes, quality gates, and automation opportunities.
• Participate in post‑release reviews and support root cause analysis for escaped defects.

Qualification & Skills Required 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 0–2 years
