Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) for highways and tunnels, including VMS, CCTV, vehicle detection systems, emergency call systems, AID, tunnel ventilation interfaces, and communication networks.
• Assist in the development and design of tunnel ITS systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of highway ITS solutions such as lane control, speed enforcement, and traffic monitoring systems.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support the integration of ITS designs within broader transport and infrastructure projects.
• Assist in feasibility studies, technical assessments, and cost‑benefit analyses to support ITS planning and design decisions.
• Support the preparation of detailed design documentation, technical specifications, and drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.
• Provide technical assistance to project teams and clients throughout various project stages.
• Assist in the design of traffic signalized intersections and traffic management systems as part of integrated transport solutions.
• Stay informed about emerging ITS technologies, standards, and best practices to support innovative design approaches.
• Support project delivery activities, including coordination of schedules, resources, and documentation.
• Ensure ITS designs comply with applicable safety, regulatory, and quality requirements under supervision.
• Participate in client meetings and stakeholder discussions, supporting senior team members as required.
• Preference: Familiarity with ITC requirements for ITS works in Abu UAE/ME is an advantage.

Qualification & Skills Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Typically 0–2 years of experience in ITS design, implementation, or integration, preferably within the UAE or the ME.
• Working knowledge of ITS technologies such as highway and tunnel ITS, traffic signals, VMS, CCTV, vehicle detection systems, and communication networks will be preferable.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within project teams.
• Experience or exposure to working in an engineering consultancy environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with ITS works and approval processes, exposure is an advantage.
• Relevant training courses or entry‑level professional certifications in ITS or related fields would be an added advantage.
